Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk, warm to about 110°F
- 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cups butter, melted
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cups butter, softened, for filling
- Powdered sugar, for icing
- 2 tablespoons milk, for icing
Directions
In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, melted butter, eggs, salt, and the yeast mixture. Mix until it forms a dough.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it.
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough, then tightly roll it up from the long side.
Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal slices and place them in a greased baking pan.
Cover the pan and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes, until puffy.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), then bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
Whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
